Executive Director Amy Ross Manko began her tenure with
Washington County Literacy Council in August of 2005.
Possessing a Master of Business Administration from
Waynesburg University, she has also completed course work
in Professional Grant writing with the Grant Institute. Her
personal philosophy, "Don't count the days; make the
days count," led her first to the Board of the Literacy
Council and then into the directorship. She's hard at work
raising funds and administering the organizations programs
and services. She is most proud of the expansion the
Council has undertaken in the past year.

In October of 2009, we were able to finally hire two part-time
assistants to help with the day-to-day operations of the
Council. Please stop in to say hello to our Program Director,
Shanna Reese and our Executive Assistant, Samantha
Redlinger. Both ladies assist with students, tutors,
fundraising and have been a huge help during this period of
growth we've been experiencing. Welcome aboard, Ladies!
